How to - espresso

-To make a coffee remove the portafilter.

-Clean the portafilter from the previous coffee by flipping it and banging it on the knock box.

-Use a brush to clean the leftover coffee.

-Place the portafilter on the grinder and let it grind until it stops.

-This is the right amount of coffee you should have – with a small mountain of grams. 

-This is too little. 

-Tap the portafilter down to contain the grounds in.

-Use your hand to level out the coffee evenly.

Tamping

-Use a corner or a tamping station and place your body parallel to the portafilter.

-Grab the tamper with your hand and place the first 3 fingers in the base of the tamper.

-Place the tamper on the portafilter and create a 90degree corner with your hand.

-Press down maintaining this corner and bringing your body weight from your shoulder to your wrist. (This will prevent create stability and prevent you from injury)

-Make sure you tamped flat.

-Press the single button to Flush out water.

-Use your fingers to clean the ‘’ears’’ of the portafilter from excess coffee.

-Place the portafilter in the espresso machine and press immediately the double shot button.

-Grab your cup and place it underneath.

-Your espresso is ready
